Hey Will,

Sounds like you did some really good stuff and Abrams was a good Officer! I had a few good conversations with him at a personal level down on the Border: he liked me because I was a tough young SSG who always said things openly! :-) Got me in trouble a few times with some idiotic officers..but luckily I worked mostly with some super one´s, especially in the SF world, but never forgot my Cav roots and traditions! Yeah...I recall that CPT....and sounds like he has not changed! :-) I am a member in a German ARmy Reservist Organization, (since that are allowed in accepting members of Nato forces, active duty or retired into their ranks). It is actually really good: they do lots of stuff: military functions, marches, shooting, competitions even at international levels. I have worn my Blues more since I retired than I did when I was on active duty. I need to get me a set of ASUs! Damn! But always wear my spurs! Naturally, it also means that I wear ACUs every now and again, and although I know the regs say I can`t--well what the heck! Once a soldier always a soldier! And as a Veteran of Foreign Wars and Retiree I earned that damn right to do so! :-) I even wrote CSA Preston 2 years ago asking why that could not be changed but never got a reply! Oh well! I simply like doing good things for soldiers and it is always in my blood! I retired because my wife asked me to do so for the sake of the family back then....and I did, even though I really did not want to! Two years later she left me for another guy! Shit happens! Got a house over here, the girls are all grown up and working and out of the house and the youngest of the three made a Grandpa in september and I have a little three year old warrior son with my new wife! So I keep busy! :-) My work e-mail address is Private is

Nice talking to you trooper!!!

Hey 1SG!

How could I ever forget the Regimental OPs NCOIC!!!!! Allons!!! I got sucked into special ops during the Border Mission and was recruited by the SF community and ended up working in East Germany until german unification. I then ended up in the former Soviet Union for three years! They just kept moving me eastward! :-) I ended up as a Special Instructor at a International SF training center in southern germany until my retirement. Hey, love your pics!!!! Looking good 1SG!!! If you ever get over to the old stomping ground stop by and visit! My home is your home and the beer is cold!!!! Tom Favia, Im Tempel 77, 66564 Ottweiler
