Pasture, whistling enroute to Fiddler's Green in maybe 20 years.
Retired after almost 32 years, and now contracting to DoD and Pentagon "fun things to do."
Tell us a little about yourself:
Aside from high school, I look at my time in Workhorse as a shaping phase of my life, with influence from leaders like CPT Rowan (HWB), CPT Rudman (HWB), LT / CPT / MG Bergner (HWB etc etc), CPT Gordon (I Trp), 1LT / CPT Soeldner (I Trp), CPT Bolton (K Trp), CPT Steppe (HHT), LT Van Orsdale (I Trp), LTC Driscoll and LTC Cherrie, and COL Crow . . . . The days I spent "getting ready for the Commies" and hoping the good guys would make it up from Gelnhausen were galvanizing, romantic, sobering, and noble all at the same time. One of my nephews is now in the Regiment, and I wish all the pain and glory and challenge and satisfaction for him that I experienced in Bad Hersfeld and at India and Romeo "on the grenze," for a purpose bigger than ourselves.
