"Hey Devon. Glad to hear from you. Sorry about the knees eventually ending your military career. I stayed on for 22 years total. I did like serving in the 11th cav. Wouldn't have said that when I first arrived at the bahnhof, where SSG Cyr…"
"Hey, I was sqd leader in 2nd Plt. I was in the Fulda July 82- May 84. I was resigned to S-3 Regimental Engineer after having a knee surgery at the Frankfort Hos. Long story short, my military career came to end with medical discharge in 1987…"
After 12 years I was medically discharged. I started my construction business, in most part everything was good and made good money. In 2007 down turn economy I found myself I no longer had contracts nor was I able to build new houses, housing market crashed, Thank God at least I was not stuck with inventory. My oldest daughter who was company commander with HHT 1st Cav told me about many jobs wore available in the Iraq, so I figured I would try it for one years and next thing I know 4 years has pasted. I did base security and it was just like being back in active duty. Now I’m back in Wa state just outside of Ft Lewis, conducting construction business, but I have to tell you it still is not same as before.

Hey Devon. Glad to hear from you. Sorry about the knees eventually ending your military career. I stayed on for 22 years total. I did like serving in the 11th cav. Wouldn't have said that when I first arrived at the bahnhof, where SSG Cyr picked me up about 2300 that evening. But it turned out to be one of my best assignments. I was a squad leader in SFC Dennis's platoon. I think that was 3rd platoon. Still talk to several folks form those days. If you remember SSG Goodwin, I run into him at least three times a year. I also spoke with Littlepage a few years back. Thanks for reaching out and stay in touch. Red Devils with an Iron Horse...
