Loved BK and the 2/11th. 85-87 ETSed  at Ft. Stewart that was a drag in the 4/64th. My best military memories are with Fox Troop and I wouldn't change a thing. Although I did have my problems, I learned tons from the NCO's and have been able to use that here in the world. Any word of SSG Burdine? How about Mike Yoo from Maintenance? Mike Frausto? James Corbin the Scout?

EagleHorse my brothers and Allons to all.

Served with Hco. for about 8 months, mid 75 to early 76 was a 11D Recon ( 19D ) but had to pick up a secondary MOS, two border tours out of Camp Wolbach, ( it got renamed to Camp Lee )  moved over to Fox Troop to get back into my MOS, PTSGT SSG Patton, what a trip. Was there the day First Sgt Truman threw the AGI inspectors out of his orderly room because they told him he had to take his Sabre off the wall

XO Maj Appler gave me a shot after another border tour with the Fox at the Old Ammo Storage facility Nato 26, I cruzed there 77 and 78.

I served with 14th 17th and 6th Cavs as well, but Blackhourse is where the heart is

I was there the day Hco. got all new m60'a ( Plt Sgt Herman Roberts almost cried) and also when all the other line units gave up the Sheridans and got Main Battle tanks

Eaglehorse.  Served with Fox Troop from Sept 83 to Oct 86.  PSG 4th Platoon.  Spent many a border tour with some of the finest tankers in the Blackhorse.  SGT A., Bill Harmon, Jimmy Myrick, and the rest of 4th Platoon.  We sure did have fun at wild chicken and Graf.

I was in E Trp. 1982/1983. I was SGT E5 gunner on E-13.

Ended up "defacto TC" when SSG Saldivar got busted (hash).

I worked in the Camp Lee BOC for one of our Border tours.

Patrolling the Grenze was the Best duty there was!

IF I COULD TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME I WOULD NOT TURN THEM BACK TO MY INFANCY OR EVEN BACK TO MY YOUTH, I WOULD TURN THEM BACK TO WHEN I WAS A TROOPER IN THE 11th ACR.

Hey Gary,Whats up.  Been a long time.

Where are you living at.  Youshould join the Motorcycle Group (Blackhorse Regiment Cavalry Motorcycles), we have members worldwide.  Australia, Germany, etc...

Itotaled my bike on Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 25th).  Car cut me off while I was doing 70mph on the I-5 at San Juan Capistrano.  Broken/dislocated surgically repaired left ankle, broken right wrist, broken left collar bone and 10 broken ribs on left side. I got three littlespots of road rash, two on my left arm and one on my right elbow.  Minor injuries compared to what it truly could have been.  Lucky to be here actually.  Looking for another bike though.  One of my mechanics at work has a 48 Panhead.  Let me know when you are coming out this way and we will try to hookup.

Later

JIM (BLEDSOE), I STILL RIDE ALTHOUGH THE IRON STEED IS 75THE YEARS OLD IN 2013. MY OWNERSHIP OF A 1948 HARLEYHARLEY DAVIDSON "PANHEAD" IS MORE FOR A COFFEE RUN AND INTERESTING CONVERSATIONS.
HOPE TO GET BACK OUT YOUR WAY FOR A VISIT.
I WILL LOOK TO JOIN UP WITH OUR BEOTHER RIDERS WITH THE BLACKHORSE PATCH THIS YEAR.
WARMEST REGARDS,
"SGT ROCK" CUDA
