Blackhorse forever.

My name is William Reed Blackstone. Recently I started an attempt to write a book about my memories of my father CWO4 Carey Reed Blackstone. I am still waiting on his records to be shipped to me and am desperately trying to find more about the man who spoke so little of his own past.

I am hoping to find people he may have served with, shared a story with, as I try to rebuild my memories of my Father. I know very little of his history but I will never forget seeing the Blackhorse emblem on his flight bag and uniform.

CWO4 Carey Reed Blackstone lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on November 25 1998. I know that He was an IP for the AH-1 for a period of time but little else. I also found the attached poem in his wallet after he died. I am not making claim that he was present at the battle of An Bac but there must have been some reason for him to carry it for so long.

Any help in telling the story of my hero would be greatly appreciated. Finding an old friend of his or two would be amazing.

Thank you for your time and any help you might be able to provide.
